10. Our food never rots (it freezes).

9. The locals are impressed. (ok, maybe they think we’re crazy)

8. Low water means the canoe will never drift away if not tied town.

7. When it doesn’t freeze at night, we remark how warm it is.


6. Low water makes random sandbar beaches everywhere for our enjoyment.

5. Grey and barren landscapes reduces the chore of stopping to take photos every ten seconds.

4. We’re saving a fortune on sunscreen.

3. Our life jackets, rather than a bulky accessory, are a much appreciated extra layer of warmth.

2. Our beer is always cold.
